Coverage of 50th Anniversary of Gerald Ford Becoming President
August 9, 2024 – The Ford Presidential Foundation and the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum launched several celebrations this week, commemorating Gerald R. Ford swearing in as president in 1974. This included a new exhibit, “Ford at 50: Decisions that Defined a Presidency,” as well as programs featuring Mike and Steve Ford, sons of President and Mrs. Ford, and other key figures from President Ford’s time in office.
